It sounds silly to those that don't attach themselves to pets I guess. A pet is sometimes better than anybody else around. You can be sad with them and they will comfort you, they will also let you know when they want attention from you. I loved my girl. She wasn named after my mother. I had Bonnie for a long time and I think back to all the places we've lived, the people we've lived with, and of course the other pets that we had together.
She will be greatly missed.
